However, it seems like when we are aware of what has happened in our past we are more apt to repeat the same things, using the excuse of "this is all I know" or "this is how my mama or daddy did it." Instead of becoming stronger individuals and breaking the generational curse we continue to do some of the same things our forefathers did, even if we were aware of our history. Whenever seeds are sown we will reap a harvest. I just believe that we can't say how and when certain things will come back on us. Having faith and believing firmly in prayer can help us. Prayer changes things. I pray daily for God to have mercy on me because I know that my relationship with a married man was totally against his word. I pray that my actions won't affect my children and their children, and so forth. I have the faith that God will answer that prayer. We control our destiny, not our history. We may plant bad seeds dealing with marriages/relationships and the seeds could come back to haunt us in other areas, such as our jobs. Another thing, you can't say that he learned this behavior from his parents either. Neither of my parents drink, but I do. I have other family members who drink but I was hardly around them. A lot of times we pick up behaviors because this is what we choose to do. It is not necessarily an acquired trait. You may be a woman of experience, but I still think there are a few things that you can learn as well. Not all men pretend. I don't think this is a case of where he pretended the mistress didn't mean anything. If I'm not mistaken, he did say that he cared deeply for her. People are in various situations for different reasons. We can't say that people cheat simply because "all men are dogs". I feel is though they cheat because something is missing. Then there are those who simply just don't give a damn. People come together in marriage for a variety of reasons. It could be for financial gain. Then there are those that feel they've been together so long that they may as well get marriage. Let's not get on the ones who stay in relationships because of their children. I had to catch myself before I made the same mistake. Our children see our pain and they know when something isn't right. The king, queen, and the mistress is caught up in something more than what they bargained for. If you pay attention to the king's speech he made mention of his doubts of the queen's love. He wasn't sure if she loved him or if it was because it was prearranged. That's something to think about. I feel it is a prime example that people get married for all sorts of reasons. It's easy to get married but it's hard to come out of a marriage. People begin feeling co-dependent on one another. They feel they are obligated. Some men who cheat don't leave because they know what they are doing is wrong and they feel its the best way to make it up to the person. Can you imagine laying next to someone every night knowing that you don't have this person's heart or as the cheater you can't emotionally connect with your spouse? I think cheaters have inner demons that they are dealing with. People pick and choose what scriptures they want to live by out of the Bible. Growing up I never heard about divorce. I was always taught that marriages were suppose to last regardless of what happened. How many others do you think were taught the same thing and just isn't strong enough to walk away? The older I get I realize that some of the morals and values instilled in me as a child are not the morals and values I wish to instill in my own children. King, my suggestion to you is to get your life together. Once you decide what you want out of life then I think everything else will begin to fall into place. This situation with you, the queen, and the mistress should be used as a lifelong lesson. Don't go around misleading people. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Always remember that actions speak louder than words. If you're in a situation you don't want to be in then it's time for you to dissolve of it.
